Scientists agree that milk and meat can be good for the heart. In particular, the fact that the use of these products has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system, said researchers from McMaster University in Hamilton (Canada).


For a long time foods that contain saturated fat, it was recognized rather undesirable and even harmful to the heart. But the authors of the new study came to the conclusion that milk, meat, and healthy foods high in fats useful for the heart and blood vessels.



The usefulness of milk and meat have been recognized by scientists after they analyzed data from 218 thousand people from 50 countries. After examining the features of the diet of these people, they divided them into groups depending on eating habits. As a result, experts were able to determine that participants who were in power which had a lot of fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes, fish, meat and dairy products, differed very little susceptibility to diseases of the cardiovascular system. In this regard, participants also had the lowest risk of premature death.



It is significant that, commenting on the findings, scientists have identified as a heart-healthy products, dairy products and unprocessed meat.


“Our results show that dairy foods are beneficial for heart health and longevity. It is definitely different from the current recommendations of nutritionists,” said the experts.
